gearbox problem?

I have a Fabia PD100 with 5 speed box and recently there is a problem with shifting from 1st to 2nd.

unless I am driving like my gran it grinds the gears on the shift.

at first I thought it was just me being sloppy but when the wife told me it was doing it with her driving......

I had a play and no matter how carefull I am, if I rev it in first it will grind the gears on the shift to second.

I have booked it into the dealer to have a look but has anyone else had this problem?

not having much luck as I have already had a replacement engine due to a turbo failure and a few cosmetic bits that have broken. but its still under warranty so its all getting fixed.
