Have recently taken delivery of a Fabia 3 1.6 Tiptronic in Brilliant Silver and I'm very pleased with it.

A question for any Fabia anorak - am I correct in thinking re the tailgate badge, the red coloured mark after 16v is specific to the Tiptronics ?

I think they all have a red coloured mark. Not all of them have a level badge though. No visual indicator of a tiptronic as far as I know, except rear discs, but then someone could have chosen them as an option

Think it would look nice de-badged leaving just the central Skoda badge

Normally, the more red letters, the more power.

The tailgate badge, the red coloured mark after 16v is for all 1.6 petrol engines, independant from gear type...

If the red symbol is power related, the 1.6 petrol and the 1.9 diesel both produce 105bhp.

Does the 1.9 also have the red 'power' symbol or is this reserved for the 1.6 petrol onlyl?

Diesel have the TDI badge not 16V: (badges are in bold)

Cannot get better than that. Just had a couple of days in Antalya, very nice too.
