Aerial swap anyone?

Featured Replies

I have just purchased a Sharan style stubby aerial from Parts4Euro (link below). It looks fantastic, but unfortunately the reception is not as good as the original. The radio and TV reception where I live are not great in general and I suppose this has something to do with it.

I'm going to give it a try on the way to work tomorrow, but was just trying to get a feeler, to see if anyone would be interested in doing a straight swap for an S2000 aerial. Worth a try to see if the reception is better I reckon.

I rarely, if ever, listen to the radio in my car!!!! Most stations irritate me in some way.... [rant] usually the tw*ts they've employed to massage their own egos for the "enjoyment" (more like endurement) of others!! [rant/]

I have noticed the aerial on my vRS looking a bit "limp" of late.

Might have to get one of those.... unless you wanna swap for a "limp" standard item......??

What about one of the shark fin types?

They look nice... Don't know if their any good though, doubt it somehow.

Does it have to be an original S2000 arial, or can it be a copy?

Ive heard the reception is loads better, but didnt want to get a copy just in case.

Looking for an original one if anyone has got one they want to swap for the Sharan type one. Hopefully with the S2000 one being a bit longer reception should be better in my area.
