I have a 2001 fabia 1.4 16v, it hasnt been used for a while as it was damaged and has been repaired. I started it up earlier and theyre is a loud noise coming from under the battery in the engine bay. Ok i thought no pas fluid so checked that and the levels spot on, The steering works perfectly nice and light both ways and theres no lights warning me on anything on the dash. I got the vagcom out to just double check as ive heard the steering sensors go down on them but nothing? no faults whatsoever. So does anybody have any sugestions? could it be the electric pump on its way out? if it was i thought the steering would get heavy? any thoughts or suggestions welcome
