  1. My wife wears varifocals and does not notice them.
  2. On my 2025 Sportsline the heating elements are visible. In fact when I had a cracked screen in Feb. AutoGlass asked me to photograph it as they said my car did not have one. This delayed the fitting by one week, then it took Skoda 4 weeks to get one. I think there was a change of screen a couple of years ago and the later one you can see the wires. However, they are not distracting unlike my wife Fiesta which can be bad in certain sunlight.
  3. We bought a new 1.5 sportsline DSG 9 months ago. my comments are: my wife likes the sunroof but I am aware of the leak problems, we never actually open it but good for bird watching; the 19" wheels are ok with the DCC in comfort mode but very vunerable to curbing, I hate them; I have become aware that the 2.0 DSG is much more reliable; just back from driving in northern Spain and did not use the comfort mode, not needed as the roads are so smooth even in the Picos mountains, same in most of France; the matrix headlights are fantastic and easy to change the dipping when abroad, I hate to think of the cost if they go wrong.
  4. Thank you
  5. I want to carry a spare key fob battery, I have read somewhere that it is a CR 2032, but some times a different one is used? My key fob is the one where the physical key pulls out, i.e. not hinged. 2025 sportsline.,
  6. Thaks
  7. I read the handbook yet again and it seems that the function to deactivate is the called the SAFE function.
  8. Locking the car normally I see that the drivers door indication flashes at intervals continuously. To disable the movement sensor I double click the fob button and I notice it flashes quickly a few times then goes out then, after about 5min it then flashes at about once per second. There is a reference to this in the handbook but to me it is not clear. At the end of the month we will be doing the 30 hour Santander crossing and I would not like the alarm going off for that time! Are my observations correct? I note that there is also a dismovement sensor in the setting on the dash display, is this the same as the double click? Karoq, 1.5 Sportsline, Aug 2025
  9. I was about to ask the same question as we are shortly to do the Santaner crossing, I note the above in that the light goes off for a time when disabled, but about 10 min later it does flash but at a silghtly different frequency to normal?
  10. Each subscription? There are two? Is the satnav separate from the connect subscrption? My phone pairs with the car on blutooth fine as I use it for Google maps which at the moment I use for navigation as I am familiar with it.
  11. Oh, I am vagually aware of Skoda connect but nothing was said about it when I bought the car. I will have to look into it. Is this the thing that is free for the first 3 years then have to pay for it? And how much? The glitches that I had from new put me off pairing my phone to the car.
  12. 2025 August sportsline. My system information tells me my software is Ver. 23.6, on the skoda download portal with my VIN, it gives the latest as 26.2. This to be downloaded to an SD card. In the Skoda online manual it refers to automatic download and/or manual download. However my 2026 does not have an SD slot, only two USB-C slots. Does this mean that the later models only do it over the air? The system infomation screen does have a "download now" option but I have seen on this site that this would then request an SD card inserting. Anyone done a navigation database update on a late model Karoq? In the first 6 months of my car I have had two software glitches causing a fail to start, with every possible error message scrolling though , rectified by locking the car and leaving it, Sokda dealer finding no faults only a "glitch"! I know that this would not be the navigation software, it would be the "cars" software, but it does make me very warey.
  13. To clarify, my 2025 Karoq has Matrix headlights and a manual changeover in the menus.
  14. Thank you, I should have read the thread more carefully.
