Featured Replies

Im thinking about upgrading my sound system, i have already a pionneer 120 watt head unit, but im looking for a good amp and subs + front and rear speaker, however i have no experence with this kind of thing and i need help on installing issues i.e were the wires need to be fed and hidden, how to connect and so on, and also what speakers best suit the octy estate! any suggestions welcome!

Have a look at my website for some tips on where you can route wires.

thanks rob that guide is really good. was trying to install my amp today and gave up!!gonna give it another go tommorow now i know where the gromitt is and how the rain tray comes off!

I used Robs guide last week and I did myself proud installing my active sub. I just use silicon to reseal the grommet.

when I installed my amp for a sub, I drilled a hole through the bulk head - ah well, too late now.

Liked the pc install Rob - shame you had to give up on it for reliability - what were your main issues? I was thinking of doing something similar.

The main issue was the screen - couldn't get a reliable working in-dash motorised touch screen and I didn't want to install a visible fixed screen anywhere.

I decided I'd already spent too much money and time on it so pulled it all out.

I suspect screen technology has moved on now, but the one I got was pretty much a prototype.

I decided to spend my modding cash on performance and blingy bits instead. :D:D

I have only changed the HU in mine and put an active sub in the boot, no need for aftermarket speakers now.

The sound is 1000 x's better.
