Hesitation on full throttle

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I'm having a very annoying problem with my 1.8 (Normally aspirated) Octavia:

When I push hard on the throttle, the car doesn't accelerate well. As I lift up my foot a little, it goes much better.

Info:

I changed my MAF sensor recently so it's definitely not the cause.

The small black sensor right after the MAF on the intake pipe is disconnected (IAT I assume).

But AFAIK, if the sensor is disconnected then the ECU uses lookup tables which should drive the car fine.

Any idea of the possible causes ?

No idea, anyone ?

throttle body could be miss aligned or need cleaning.

Coil packs might need changing.

mluton: Makes sense, will try that. Thanks mate.

Could also be bad plugs.
