Just an idea

Featured Replies

Well i started to port and polish my manifold and waste gate from my spare ko3s turbo then going to fit, just wanted to see if i should keep some pics if anyone is interested, and then obviously and gains from it as i've access to a rr.

Then i'm going to p&p the spare head once the new valves are bought.

So do you wanna see the process and pics or is it boring s##t

Sounds interesting to me

There isnt a great deal of scope from what I understand of porting the 20v head, open up the inlet a little but leave the exhaust alone. Gas speed is optimum and opening the ports up slows this down. Are you using a large port head?

How can you polish and port the wastegate? I woud have though with it being internal this would be rather difficult???

Pics sound excellent to me.

You could go 1mm larger on the inlet valves, but that would be about it :)

Its possible to enlarge the wastegate as the flap covers alot more than it needs to it requires taking it apart also to enlarge the manifold in quite a few parts.

Google the subject there is quiet alot of info out there about this procedure

Don't forget this is an experiment this is the first exhaust system i've done i normally work on rally heads so i don't know what the gains are.

But from first look the manifold isn't at gas optimal speed with all the casting defects that are there.

Didn't get working on it today but took a few pics so i'll get them up this weekend.

As the head is concerned i haven't made a decision i need to remove the bent valves first

is this meant to be in the fabia forum?
