Rightclick keys

Featured Replies

Hi all,

i'm thinking of upgrading to remote central locking with a kit from rightclick, the kit comes with 2 blank keys. Anyone bought their kit? Is it key type RU66 for an octavia?

Thanks Adrian

yea mate i bought one last week and ru66 is the right one, and i went for the ke60w kit so it looks vag standard. the keys can be cut at any VW/Skoda dealer, i got mine done for roughly £20 a pair, but you have to get the immobilizer chip out the original key to make them work. the kit is fairly straight forward to install, i have a good guide if you want me to e-mail it to you. although my kit never worked properly, it would lock but not unlock! am trying to resolve that issue with the company as we speak...

Hi

Thanks for confirming keys, seems strainge it wont unlock, do the indicators flash to say its trying?

Adrian

yeah they do! ive wired it all in but there is no power feed on the unlock wire like there is on the lock wire, so im assuming that i have a faulty control box, which i want to swap. unless im missing something obvious, which i dont think i am!?!

Hi all

Fitted kit tonight, dead easy, but mine wouldn't unlock either. I hadn't followed their instruction exactly as i had connected to the lock and open wires from the boot lock. On testing the boot lock switch with my multimeter i noticed in the lock position the white/blue wire showed zero ohms to the chassis as you would expect, but in the unlock position the black/blue wire showed 200 ohms. So i tried connecting a 270 ohm resistor in series with the open wire from the rclick box and it works

Hope this helps

Adrian
