Damn flashing glowplug light

Featured Replies

Hello folks

Ive done a search prety much looks like brake light switch.

However all my lights work

a couple of weeks ago my o/s brake bulb blew putting on the bulb light and beep first time i hit the brakes then a day later the other bulb blew meaning the bulb light would come on and go off everytime i hit the brakes(very annoying) changed both

But my glow plug light never came on

But now it does It came on whilst driving yesterday And now comes on flashing as soon as i start th car without even touching the brakes

Its due for a cambelt in 5k about 6 weeks away need the car everyday as i'm a courier

Car drives the same can i ignore until it goes for its cambelt or should i get it booked in.

Cheers folks

More than likely the Brake switch.

Even though my brake lights are working fine

if it registered a fault with the ecu as a little blip will it keep it stored until its reset/cleared

For arguments sake it was raining yesterday so say i flicked up some water into the switch causing it to temp short but is now ok will the ecu still say its faulty until its cleared.

So is there another way excluding vag com to clear fault
