Ambient 1.9TDi ECU remap

Featured Replies

Does anyone know whether the ECU of the above car could be remapped exactly the same as the ecu from the VRS.

I have the opportunity to purchase an ECU very cheaply and was wondering about remapping it so it would be my track and race ECU and keeping the original one standard... (well revert it to standard anyway)

If they are the same I will have it and get it speced up to as much as possible with out stuffing other car systems...

catch you all soon.

I think you'd easily see 130 or 140hp from a PD 105 engine...

The techniques are the same, but the hardware on the 105 and 130 is different I think.

well I already have a 130 engine just looking at a totally new remapped ECU for it. but this one is on a 105 engine... so if the internal hardware of the 105 ecu is different then I will not bother because they need to be the same really so I can remap the software to a create as higher output as possible...

I know lazy bugger, but I use the car every day for work (500 mile) and then weekends so I need comfort and economy so running a remapped engine all the time just isn't user friendly.

I don't definately know, but I'd imagine the ECU to be the same, but the base maps to be different. I thought you were asking whether or not you could get remapped 130 power out of a 105 with just a remap.

Why not get a switchable remap?
