Remapping Advice

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I am new to Briskoda, in fact i am new to skodas,

My girlfriend purchased a Black VRS 4 weeks i have to admit after picking it up i got jealous, and have now purchased a Red VRS, and yes my girlfriend wasnt impressed with me.

Anyway I am looking to improve mine as it needs to be better than my girlfriends.

I am looking to get a stage 1 remap getting 160/170bhp, has anyone used Performance Torque in Wolverhampton? I had a few people recommend them to me, I just wondered if there was anyone out there how has experienced this company, also what sort of cost is a PD160 intake?

Thanks for any advice given.

Mark

I agree, the search facility is brilliant on this website!!! Its all in the searching, lol

Search rougemont, this chap gets them from france, and if you want a brand new PD160 intake then he's your man, if not just wait for one to come up in the 'items for sale' section!

Oh and welcome by the way!

There are loads of places that do remaps - JabbaSport are probably the most commonly used, but the thing that impressed me about JabbaSport was the fact that they heavily implied that a remap without a brake and suspension (incl. ARB) upgrade was a bit much.

The other advantage to getting the brakes and suspension done first is that they make the car faster all the time, and add safety too. The standard suspension is a bit roly-poly for me. Once you've tried a car with sorted handling, you'll wonder how on earth you ever managed without it. I've got the Koni FSDs, Eibach springs and JabbaSport ARB due to go on in August, just as soon as I can get my car into the workshop:D

The car is now out of warranty, so then, and only then, I might think about a remap, but to be honest, the car has always felt fast enough to me anyway.

Mark,

the price of a PD160 intake is just under £63 from skoda, they will order in any seat part for you. I purchased mine a few weeks ago direct from my local dealer as anything second hand is rear as rocking horse poo and brand new fro places like fleabay are over priced...

unless anyone is selling right now I would go to skoda and get a new one ordered in...

Will @ Performance Torque is a great bloke, I have dealt with him on few occasions.

You will see more feedback from Performance Torque on Seatcupra.net

Got to agree about Performance Torque

Will is a star, great customer service and he knows his stuff. I have had 2 cars tweaked by Will with simply excellent results.:thumbup::thumbup:

Get it from Rougemont - good service and only £55.
