i know nothing about ice just about engines,

will this amp run this sub easily, i.e not straining it so if i want i can go for serious boom boom boom

That sub will be OK but not very loud if I'm honest, it depends on what your after and how much you have to spend.

got up to about £150 to spend,

want something which is good quality, i.e JL amp

want something which can be loud if i want but also in the middle depending on what music faze i'm going through

suggestions welcome,

Well Myself and Multon have both got the same Sub's, follow the link to have a look - Fli Trap 12 Twin Active Sub from Halfords Price £199.99 £39.99 Optional Store Fitting

I wanted something i could take out easily, done the big install thing and it's too much hassle.

Multon found them somewhere else for the £100 mark and you get a free wiring kit with it so should do you nicely.
