Evening everyone, I've just joined the wonderful world of Skoda with an 05 1.9 TDi Fabia Ambiente Estate. Bought primarily for transporting a new baby and her vast amounts of gear around the country. I collect it from Claybank Skoda in Manchester on Saturday (where in laws live) and I'm spending the time until then reading up on tips and trick and things to look out for. I'm also far too excited for a 30 year old buying a second hand car. I've lurked on the site for a while and found it very useful when deciding to choose dealerships (I read good things about the York dealership) and car type etc. Look out for me asking inane questions (after using the search option obviously) on the forums. If anyone can point me in the direction of things i must read feel free as i may have missed them whilst scouring the forums. Cheers Nask -EDIT- I shouldn't really expect a reply for a while, it is Top Gear time!

Hi! I'm in need of some help please. My Octavia estate sat for 8 months unused. The battery went flat (AGM Varta) and doesn't charge. I got the car started with a different battery and then swapped in the dead battery to see if it would start charging. BUT, now the engine was running I needed to move the car a bit and found that the gear stick won't go into reverse gear. It can select 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th but not reverse. I've ordered up a new AGM battery (due in a couple of days) but this reverse

Hoping to purchase a 2.0l TSi Sportline/Laurin & Klement variant at some point soon. My budget may result in me seeking out a vehicle with 95K onwards on the clock. I’ll be only considering something with a full comprehensive service history. My understanding is that I shouldn’t worry about cam chain tensioners as they go on and on. But do they? So is there anything I should really looking out for? Thanks

Hello everyone, we have 7 seater Kodiaq from 2019. Does anybody know if it is possible to fit a tow bar in this car ? Also, I bought all in service some time ago - would fitting the tow bar violate the service ? Thanks

Hi all, Skoda Kodiak 4x4 AWD, and Skoda Kodiak front wheel drive....what codes or description spec's etc. differentiate between them ? My problem is that while my newest purchase of a 2020 Skoda Kodiak , 150 HP and Front wheel drive, is a delight in every way, my car insurance has gone through the roof, and when I queried it, I was informed that one of then reasons for the increase (more than.€200) is that its a 4x4 AWD.
