IS the Octy vRS 6 disk changer a "standard" Audi/VW part?

Featured Replies

Gents,

I've had a single disc MP3 player in my Octy vRS for a while now and am thinking about auctioning my Symphony Head Unit and 6 Disc player. My question is, will any (i.e. the majority of) VW/Audi group CD-changer-compatible-HU's work with the CD Changer?

It looks EXACTLY the same as the changers going for

They're not generically wired, so if you wanted to return the car to standard for trade-in or whatever then you'd need to get hold of another genuine Skoda one...

Thanks for that Rob :D

Outside of this, I'm really trying to find out if I can sell the changer on to a wider audience (VW/SEAT/AUDI/SKODA) ;) .

Yes, you most certainly can. I ran a VW Gamma in my Octavia for a few days before I got my mp3 HU.

(Which may be going soon if andyccr ever gets back to me about the minidisc player  )
