2 cars one remote...

Featured Replies

Ok guys, a weird problem with my central locking and alarm (hornet MAxx1). I was with a friend today and he unlocked his golf and my alarm started going off... turns out his remote unlocked and locked my cars factory remote central locking... activating the deadlock alarm, it didn't de-activate the alarm. I'd like to get this sorted ASAP really, i'd hate for it to keep happening. Do I need to get in touch with the guy that installed my aftermarket alarm or get my key re-coded by Skoda?

aftermarket alarm = grief.

never had one that worked yet.

Its quite common for vag key fobs to work on other vehicles, mine locks and unlocks my partners seat arosa and a friend had a lupo gti that unlocked mine but wouldn't lock it but my fob wouldn't lock or unlock his so there must be limited frequencies,i would see if its possible to change the standard coding cos his golf fob sounds like its unlocking your car which in turn is triggering your aftermarket alarm
