VRS Air Valve problem - Moved posts

Featured Replies

When you say that the second air valve has been modified what do you mean. Just a query as I own a 2003 octavia vrs which was running ok but started to be troublesome, tick over very lumpy and coming off roundabouts/corners bottom end seems as if its holding back, runs well when spooled up. Has had new plugs, new air mass meter from main dealer and is showing no faults on either the dash or plugged in at friends garage. Friend suggested may have an air leak in one of the pipes but nothing looks obvious.

Any suggestions would be appreciated - Thanks Carl

Any suggestions would be appreciated - Thanks Carl

hi carl, have u had the throttle body cleaned out as i had similar problem and this cured it

Carl

You posted this in the MKII forum mate, completely different engine. Your other post which was inappropriately posted in a for sale thread has been moved to the Octavia MK1 section.

Also if you leave your details in the public domain anyone including web bots will pick them up and spam you.

I'll move this alongside your other post in the MK1 section.

Thanks for that Stu am struggling with the layout of the website, still unsure where the mk1 section is?

Thanks

Carl

Check the pipes under the inlet manifold there are two about 1.5cm wide, these are prone to splitting and give a little hiss if you have a leak.
