After finding myself the owner of a gorgeous little Fabia I am now wondering just what i can get out of her.

So as a total car n00b what should I do to a basic 1.4 classic first?

Not a lot. Doing a search will bring up a few options but it's going to set your world on fire.

One of them Yellow smiley airfreshers would work a treat ;)

I would go for an intake and filter which will possibly squeeze a few more ponies, but as others have said you won't get a lot without forking out a fair bit

You are talking to someone who had a twin carb put into a G-Reg metro for the hell of it!!! Boy that was fun :D

Think i will maybe look around for some nice alloys to start with and go for makin her pretty! THe lack of acceleration is almost made up for by the fact it cost me less than £20 to drive to Legoland and back on Monday!

did u get some new legs?

I'd say colour code the black bump strips, alloys, maybe see what extras ur missing (dash tray, seat box etc and add them. I've seen a few people take the leather gaiter and wheel off a vRS. would be a nice start.

Personally your cars not going to be quick so might be best making it more comfort...

Then again thats coming from a lad who modded a 1ltr micra with a full janspeed setup :D

What about a set of vRS alloys would be a starting point

vRS front bumper aswell :D

Once you start Missp you won't stop!

Spend £1000 and get a set of throttle bodies, and a stand alone ecu.

Best mod for a small engine without putting in a new lump in.

Sell it and buy a 1.9tdi

More cost effective and a more fun to drive car

vRS front bumper aswell :D

Does the front bumper just go straight on.?

Anyone selling one.? (if so why)(if so how much).?

As with respects to the 1.4 jobby... I would make it look good rather then head down the performance route. Would have to pump in serious money to make any kind of noticeable difference.

I would personally go for...

-vRS alloys (or similar)

-new backbox (or tip.?)

-lowering spring/coilovers (depending on budget)

-rear window tints

SORTED.!
