I'm having problem with my PAS on my 2000 Fabia Classic.

I changed the angle sensor which seemed to do the trick.

Two weeks later the PAS light has come on and there is no extra assiatance at low speed (although the steering does not go light at higher speeds like it did before I changed the sensor).

So now I'm wondering whether its something to do with needing to reset to ECU. I've no idea how to do this really, and I'm not even sure if it is possible on this trim and age of Fabia.

What I'm really confused by is why it would all work ok for two weeks, and then go wrong again. I've had the sensor off again and given it a clean and tighetened up the bolts, but its done nothing.

So if anyone has some time to lend me a hand. There could be bacon butties involved...

I had this same problem only two weeks ago, I renewed my battery, light stayed on, was just about to buy a sensor when theproblem went away as mysteriously as it appeared.

I have just upgraded my shareware version of VAG com to fully functional, I'm willing to connect up for you if you are reasonably near to Rochdale.
