grateful for some advice - was told by the garage that they had noticed some 'vibrations' around 2500rpm and that one of the gearbox mounts needs replaced.

On inspection I saw that the gearbox mount (rubber) on the RHS has one of two screws missing, or more correctly, the base of the original screw has been 'torqued' in, and the head of the screw has come away (shoddy workmanship by another garage). any views on whether this really needs replacing?

I'd say so.
