Hello friends,

My pal has a Golf BDK 2.0 sdi on 54 plate with 42k. Problem is that only when engine at operating temp it starts surging / kangarooing at 2000-2500 rpm. Its not severe but is quite apparant if your driving constantly in that range.It seems worse 2000 rpm , 3rd gear at 30 mph . Fuel filter was supposingly replaced at 40k. I took off the egr vac pipe and it seems to be ok, but eventually the MIL comes on due to pressure sensor seeing no change.

Has any VW group master techs have any similar experiances. I dont want to buy egr valve if I am wrong.

Thanks , That was quick mate! , have you seen this before , with identical symptoms? I had this on ASZ PD but it was on harder acceleration and that was pump in tank. Why do you think it stops if I blank off vac pipe?
