Where is the diagnostic socket on a

Featured Replies

Please forgive this layman's ignorance: I'm buying a diagnostic tool so that I can read the error codes in advance of having to pay a garage £60+ per hour to do the same thing. However, not sure where to plug the scanner cable?

Seen posts for similar on Roomster and Octavia, but can anyone point me towards the correct location on the Fabia? There appears to be a socket at the back of the central panel (below climate control and radio - left hand towards rear on underside); but can't be sure. There's also a socket with a white plug in it (that resembles a washing peg) below the fuses on the driver's end of the dashboard. But this looks the wrong shape for the scanner cable (from the pictures I've seen, anyway - I'd still be interested to know what that one is for as well).

Thank you!

If it's for Vag com it's to the right of the steering wheel, where there is a pull down drawer for a can, you just need to pull that down and the port is there for you to plug in.

Hope this helps

Same as any other Fabia 1, as above.

That 'peg' is a peg of sorts - it's a little pair of tongs to help you get the fuses out! :)

I think its only £30 to have the computer read

Might be cheaoper at an independant with the facilities.

We've been quoted £65...but as that is Westover Skoda (if you live in Dorset, you'll have heard of them...) I'm not surprised you're saying you can get it cheaper!
