Cheap Parts for cambelt

i am planning on doing my cambelt tomorrow night after work,

i went to buy all the parts today,

i got:

cambelt kit

5L of pd oil - carlube 5-40w - 505.01 rating

oil filter

water pump - metal impeller one

all for £99 is this good???

just need to get the engine mount bolts, will skoda have these in and if not can i use seat ones off the pd130 ibiza engine or pologt ones from vw, i need these for tomorrow,

any comments or help welcome

i know you are supposed to change the bolts , but i never did when i did my belt

dealer should have them in stock though methinks

have you got the locking tools for the timing belt job ?

At those prices I reckon you stripped down someone's motor :D

i.e. :eek: cheap as chips. I reckon I paid nearly double - sourcing them myself too. Approx prices -

Oil = £30

Cambelt and kit = £70

Water pump = £24

Usually I would expect to pay

cambelt kit - £110-£120

5L of pd oil - carlube 5-40w - 505.01 rating £30

oil filter - £5

water pump - metal impeller one - £30

So that's about +80% on what you paid - Where'd you go? :D

Is it a genuine belt and tensioner?

its a continental belt kit, and QH pump, all from euro car parts,
