My VRS, is a 2001 'Y' and has just ticked past 92k.

Due its first oil and filter change under my ownership, but haven't a clue what oil has been used previously:confused: all I have is a print-out of history [car was owned by a police force], with oil changed approximately every 6k.

So do I use 5w40 Synta Gold, or as milage is getting a little high now and components wearing etc, should I be using 10w4o Synta Silver?

Mines running 337hp on full boost and I use 5w 40 fully synthetic by Fuchs at moment. Try Opie oils you get a discount being a Brisky member as well.
