Set button on Fabia 3

Featured Replies

Hi

Help please. I have owned a Fabia 3 Automatic for over 12 months. A friend has purchased the same model and cannnot find a reference in the handbook to a set button to the left of the handbrake. I must confess that until I looked today, I did n't know it was there. I would appreciate any information on its purpose.

Thanks

This will be for resetting the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

If you change the pressure of your tyres, you need to press it after (can't remember the exact details - should be in the handbook) so that the system knows what pressure the tyres should be and can tell you if they drop a certain amount.

Check your tyre pressures then drive it for a few seconds preferably in a straight line on a flat surface and then stop and press and hold the set button until it bleeps.

This has now set the tyre pressures, should one or more of your tyres drop in pressure (it actually measures the speed of rotation rather than actual pressure) the light will come on the dash and it will bleep.
