1.2 64 htp modification to higher power and hp

Featured Replies

is there anyway for me to upgrade my car engine to a higher hp power?

The 1.2 is a nice little motor without any doubt, but unless you wanted to throw huge amounts of cash at it, then you would be engaged in an activity known as "polishing a turd"

You could improve throttle response with a panel filter, maybe a couple of bhp with an exhaust system, or stick a 1.8T in there :)

Turbo...

ColdAir InductionKit...

New Exhaust System...

Remap...

That will do something...

But dont expect a bugatti..!

The thing is, if you head down the Turbo route, you may as well chop it in for something else and remapping a 1.2 3 pot is probably going to result in 1/4 of a lmp (Lame Mule Power) :D

I hear that Ebay Superchargers are quite good ;)

I would honestly say the air filter upgrade might be about the only thing worth while doing, otherwise I would save and just buy a better engined car.

Or just enjoy it for what it is, cheap to insure, tax and run.

HAHA... yeah..

Power gains are hard to come by on a small engine, the ammount it could cost would be the same as a vrs. For example my 1.4si has a cracking engine and is an all roung grreat car

If you want a faster car then change it, don't waste money tying to tune it :)
