Hi,

Do the three black plastic clips on the top of the filter can have to be pushed away from the can,or is it the two oval buttons which stick through the filter can holder that have to be pressed in over to release the filter from its holder.the oval buttons are about 100mm from the top of the holder and 180deg apart.

I have tried gently easing the clips and buttons but to no avail.

The Fabia is a 2004 Comfort that I purchased three months ago.

If the fuel filter is anything like mine on my 1.9 tdi, the three clips have to be pushed outwards to release the filter from the housing. It then just lifts out with a bit of careful jiggery pokery, even with pipes attached.
