Insurance renewal!

Featured Replies

It's that time again for me to renew my insurance.:(

Last year i paid £472 fully comp with legal cover, breakdown cover for myself 37 and wife 31 protecting no claims both with no points accidents etc...

Adrian Flux decided to put it up to £494 which included a £25 admin fee for the insurance .

Decided to call Chris Knott to see if they could come up with a cheaper deal.

I did call Chris Knott a couple of years ago but they wouldn't quote me because of my SK10 postcode.

I gave all my details and said they would call me back because of my postcode again.

Received a call about 20 mins later and quoted me a very good £335.

No brakedown cover included in that price, but who cares.

This quote was declaring ALL mods.

Chips I'll remember that as my time is nearing again!

I just got what I think is a good deal through Brentacre - another company that specialises in modified cars. Certainly a lot cheaper than many others that I tried.

They also talk sense, drive modded cars themselves, and understand what you're on about - unlike the Indian call centre I spoke to earlier who Im fairly sure translated "anti roll bar" as "roll cage"

I did try them, but they said they couldn't compete with the £335.

I'm happy to have got it down by so much especially with all the mods i have.
