How do I get clued up with VCDS?

Featured Replies

I went with Gendan in the end!

Now i've got to figure out just exactly what i'm doing:eek:

On that subject, what is the best way to get clued up? I've had VAG-COM for some time and would like to get a bit more knowledgeable.

have you been to the Ross-Tech web site? Have you been to the Info page and the Wiki? Do you have a factory repair manual for your car? How else can we help?

I've looked around the site, and the Wiki- both very useful for specific procedures. I have the Elsawin manual, but that's obviously biased to the factory tools, and they seem to have a guiding mode. Is there a better choice for my Fabia vRS & Lupo 16V?

How do people find correct coding, and login codes? I've found what I need with google, but I'd prefer a deeper understanding.

Any good links to what adaption, readyness, basic settings mean?

What damage can possibly be done?

How do people in general get competent with VCDS?
