Urgent help needed

Featured Replies

I have bought a Skoda VRS on a 55 reg. It's got a tremendous 'crunk' when turning at low speed (or stationary). I've taken it back to Skoda and they've turned round and said they're clueless!

They've ruled out the top mounting, amongst other things - I'm at my wits end!

Any potential causes or answers would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

clunking?

My Felicia clunks when the clutch is pressed sometimes or if it hits a bump.

Only really happened after the clutch was replaced.

One part of a mount was replaced but that didnt cure it.

If they accept that the problem exists then they should be able to fnd out what it is. Maybe contact Skoda at a higher level.

drop-links did exactly that on mine. POC to change tbh. 2 nuts to undo/redo...

Clunk went away perfectly and IIRC they're £26 (don't hold me to that!)

Good luck

Bas

Have they looked at ARB`s?

Also wishbone bushes too

Many thanks for all your suggestions, I've actually taken it to a non Skoda garage and they've asid that its the steering rack. This was confirmed from the 'higher powers' at Skoda too.

I'll let you know if that finally cures it.

Thanks again!
