Air con problem

Featured Replies

Wife's fabia's AC works fantastically, cools car very quickly, altough it takes all the engine's power,at times we prefer comfort over performance especially in this terrible hot sweaty summer weather, anyway my wife and even me noticed that when the a/c is switched on at the coolest temperature settings after a while it sort of changes temperature to a very hot one and starts heating instead of cooling, this heating period takes around 5 seconds after which it starts cooling again automatically without us touching any controls whatsoever...Any ideas ?.could it be some sort of temperature sensor or seized low gas or a partially seized compressor ?.

Car is a 2003 Fabia 1.4 MPi
