Forge Diverter Valve

Featured Replies

Have got the Forge Vacuum Operated DV (FMFSITV) fitted and having a few issue's that i think people should be aware of.

What has been happening is sometimes when i put my foot down i can hear a constant hiss as if boost pressure is escaping. the car will do this for a few miles (read anything from 1 - 100:rolleyes:) and then be normal again.

Something to point out is that this affects performance. The car feels standard again (I may have had REVO Stage II software installed at some point i cant quite remember:rolleyes:;):D) then once the hissing stops then the performance is back.

Telephoned Forge today (Cheers Stu:thumbup:) and they said it sounded like the piston was sticking:confused: so are sending me a service kit for it. Hopefully this will cure the problem and its Free of charge as it is covered by the warranty.

Has anyone else had to do this to their FMFSITV. If so did it cure the problem and how easy was it to do.

Now i must point out im not complaining about anything (Yet!!) Forge couldnt have been more helpful when i spoke to them so a big  for the customer service. Hopefully should have the kit by Monday so will let all know how easy and take some phots to show incase anyone else needs to do it.

Hope it gets sorted with that - the quality of the product + their helpful aftersales attitude is well worth the premium of purchasing from them :)

Hope it goes well :)

Hi

When you do the service on the valve

Check the upper "O" ring that seals the top of the valve

This could be the problem

Thanks for advice Sarah:thumbup:

However i have found the reason for the problem. Today i took the Forge DV off as i had a total loss off power and went back to OEM DV.

I found that the end nipple on the solenoid has snapped clean off (Havent the foggiest how this has happend:confused:) see attached pics

The main thing that has annoyed me is the fact that forge say it isnt covered under warranty as its not a manufacturing fault if its snapped off:mad:. Forge are sending me a new solenoid and silicon hosing for £25 which is considerably less than a new DV but its not the point when the DV is less than a year old.

Will hopefully have the new solenoid by tuesday cos at the mo im running a Stock map and OEM DV which means the car feels soooooo Sloooooooooow:rolleyes:

UPDATE:

Received both the Service kit & New Solenoid (Which came free of charge:thumbup:) so hopefully will sort DV out over next couple of days and post up some pics of service bits incase anyone else needs to do the same.

A big  to Forge motorsport for sending the Solenoid FOC. Was a nice surprise and show's top customer relations IMHO. Cheers guys
