Un-laquered wheels

Featured Replies

Any one got any reccomendations for cleaning un-laquered wheels.......

i just use the same shampoo i use for the cars bodywork.

What exact finish do you have mate? Mirror Polished? Polished?

More info on the wheels and I can suggest something suitable.....

Oh :o

I could only see the black finish and the red line on the wheels.

Still, I can see why you use car shampoo though

its about the only thing that works, shampoo and rinse

polish makes them go cloudy white

Most manufactured matt wheels are lacqured. They put a matting agent in the lacqur which makes them go dull.

i.e Seat alloys.

which basically means you can use wheel acid if you want.

They seem to be a machined mirror finish & not chromed, just looks like bare metal to be honest - pretty nice when they are really clean but difficult to get there.

I am guessing that they are diamond cut which means you need to be careful what you use otherwise you will get poor results and corroded wheels........

I ideally need to see a picture of the wheels before I define what you should use?

Hi mate

You will need a NON ACID cleaner for your wheels, if you use a acid based product it may stain the alloy:thumbup:
