Bigger washer bottle (5ltr) in vRS?

Featured Replies

Can I get a bigger washer bottle for my car? Standard is 3 litres, but I recall the L&K had a 5 litre? Or have I just made that up.....

If anyone knows the part no. too...(presuming it exists) that would be great:thumbup:

Cheers,

Steve:)

Thinking of cooling the intercooler Steve........

You can certainly get one for the Fabia. I have no idea 'bout a proper vRS though :D

:rofl:Is it that obvious......

Snow kit from Jabba is on its way.

It's the stage 2 kit which works off the MAF sensor readings.....:D

There is a water ethanol mixture which can be used for the windscreen and the inector which will go in the IC-inlet manifold pipe.

Octavias that have headlight washers have a 5 litre washer bottle as standard I believe.

I think 110TDi has a 5.5 litre washer bottle fitted.....

Partnumbers for the 5 litre bottles are 8L0 955 453 B and 8L0 955 453 C. The second partnumber is for cars with a water level indicator.

interestingly enough the image shows 5.5l printed on the top of the bottle....

Scholar and a gentleman.

Any Elegance or L&K model or any car that's had Xenon lights fitted. You should be able to find some elegances in a scrappy

Got xenons on me mk1 octy vrs and comes with a 4.5ltr washer bottle to hold the extra for the headlight washers

Mine (with xenons in a vRS) is 5.5L

mine is 5.5l on a 2001 Elegance (TDi) with normal headlamps, but I do have headlight washers.

Likewise; I think the critical point is that you get the bigger bottle with the headlight washers, and it'll fit straight in if you have the smaller one.

Talking of which, are they easy to get out? I seem to think that mine looks rather pinned in. It has developed a rather nasty layer of "black" inside it, which I would rather clean out than squirt through the washer jets.....

No idea, and mine has some of those little "wheat flies" floating in it.

I was just going to stick a hose pipe in it to flush out anything that was floating, but unfortunately that won't deal with the stuff stuck to the side of it..... Still I have more pressing matters to get on with!

Mine is a 5ltr bottle IIRC

I've got a 5.5 in my 2001 Elegance, normal lights but with light washers.

However, I can only put about 2l in it as there's a leak. Does anyone know how easy it is to get the bottle out and squeeze a new on in? How much engine needs to be removed to do this?

cheers

If it's anything like other cars i've done that on it will probably just be a case of unhooking the bumper which really isn't as daunting as it sounds.
