DSG Paddles

Featured Replies

I've ordered an Elegance 170 CR DSG about six weeks ago , long before the UK brochure was available. I didn't know about the 3 spoke multifunction wheel:confused:. Does the standard 4 spoke multi function still have the flappy paddles for gear selection?

No it doesn't. Only the 3-spoke wheel has paddles.

You might still be able to change your order, but you'll need to speak with your dealer immediately. Do you know what build week the car is?

It think its week 36 , I'll ring my dealer now!

moral of story - wait for brochure !!! LOL

It it's week 36, then you are already way too late to change anything. In fact, the car has probably already been built.

It may be possible to retrofit the steering wheel, as people have certainly done it on various VWs. It's not easy, and the warranty situation would be dubious.

If I've missed the boat, I'll make do. The 'open day' car at the dealers had the flappy paddles, an the rep suggested that they were standard on the DSG cars. Still, there's lots of other toys to mess with so I'm not too disappointed. I've been quoted a delivery around the end of October, so I'm assuming that the car has not been build yet. Thanks for the info.

We're in week 36 now, so if this is your build week, it will be too late.

I believe that you can make changes to the order up to 3 weeks prior to build, but after that it's a no no.
