Hi i'm new to this site and Skoda's.

I have an octavia 1.9tdi and its auto matic 54 plate.

The car has been stood for a week and half i got in it today and the lights on the dash that tell me what gear i'm in are acting up.

When i'm in park with hand brake on the darkened box which high lights the gear i'm using ie,park,reverse, netural,drive etc is correct. When i put the car in drive the highlighted box moves as it should over the d and shows me 1st gear when the handbrake comes off all the gears flash with the darkened box and no number gear shows.

I tried the electrics and they worked fine except the cd players one in boot and one in car.

On my second journey and third journey everything did the same but the cd player in the boot now works but the one in the cra doesn't.

I haven't got a clue what it is doing? its nothing ive seen before.

Would appreciate some help typical women!!! thanks

Was the stacker giving a "surface" or "mechanic" error? Those tend to originate from going over a bump as it's changing discs.
