Clutch Pedal Connection

Featured Replies

Changed gear last night, and the clutch pedal stayed down, it wasn't stuck but the connection between the operating rod and the pedal had come apart. I was left with a black plastic U shaped plastic moulding with and angle on it and a patch of glue where it obviously is stuck somewhere, not broken at all. And a White, what looks like nylon or similar plastic that obviously goes on the the end of the rod, and seems to have a couple of barbed locking pieces on the end. This isn't broken either. Called the AA as I was stuck in the dark on a motorway. Another passing AA man had a look and said thats a couple of minutes job, no problem but he was only driving a flatbed with no light or tools and said to wait for the scheduled guy to turn up. When he arrived he said he had no idea how it fitted together, he hadn't seen one before!! So a tow home as no chance of getting it fixed on a sat night at midnight.

I'm now stuck at home, I've got a technical background but can't see how this fits.

Can anyone please help, perhaps with a diagram, to save the expense of calling someone out for a fairly simple job.

Thanks Richard
