I'm with Brentacre and they had a sensible approach to quoting.

You agree a bhp limit with them, and other mods are included at no extra cost (although they must be listed).

Not had to claim, so no experience in that respect, but if you search for them on here they seem to get predominantly positive reviews.

Or try Adrian Flux - I think they are in the site sponsor section now

Hi,

To be honest the only way you are going to get any answers that are going to be useful to yourself is to get quotes on your details as there are so many factors that make up quotes.

if you would like me to get an underwriter to call you and go through your details and offer any advice then please pm me. Or call 0800 505 3000

Dan.

Elephant did my Dragon-ed Furby for about £750, which was quite heavily weighted due to wanting business use (although SWMBO, who's only been driving a year, added a mighty £2 to the premium as well! :D )

I'm 30 with full NCB, no points etc. etc., and was told it would have been about half that if I didn't take out business cover. But as I often have to drive from my offices to my clients' for meetings, I was told in no uncertain terms that this counts as business travel... :(

BTW, tried both Adrian Flux and Chris Knott. Can't remember which was which, but one refused to quote, and the other couldn't beat Elephant. Oddly, they both used Highway as underwriters, so I don't know why one could quote me and the other couldn't?!?!?!

I'm sure mine was the same price with and without business miles included (also with elephant), additionally I'm five years younger, with less no claims and pay £200 odd less. Insurance it certainly is a lottery...

Edit: that's with a dragon box aswell

Forgot to mention: My mileage is higher than most too - apparently that can make a big, big difference... And in *tim*'s case, living within 10 miles as he crow flies of Central Manchester, probably makes quite a difference compared to Suffolk:

Say you have a Suffolk postcode to an insurer, they think:

Say you have a Stockport postcode, and they think:

Wilmslow and Alderley Edge have Stockport postcodes! :rubchin:

Each insurer has their own discount rates and areas that will and won't quote with each insurer.if you would like me to look into it then please PM me your name and postcode and i'll see what i can do.Dan.

  Pretty much how I see the two... :D

It's OK: Elephant could do me for less than whichever of yourselves and Chris Knott would quote me with Highway, so I've gone with the cartoon heffalump!

Thanks anyway...
