Ordinary fog light black bits!!!

Featured Replies

We have taken delivery of our fabia 2 estate today and after a few hours I spotted the fog light surrounds are different. One has black plastic you can see through and the other side does not. The 1st pic is the passenger side, the second pic is the drivers side. Is this how they are meant to be or not. Also if so, why cos it looks a bit daft!

They're meant to be like that. The less amount of open space the better for aerodynamic reasons, however the one on the driver's side needs to be open to let air into the intercooler. The fact it has nowhere to go after that is a difference matter!

I was shocked when I saw the difference. I have considered taking a hammer to it but I'm useless so I'd just break it. Ah well, a very small niggle on an otherwise brilliant car.

P.S Thank you for that!

The hole is actually for the horn.

Ahhh, I think you mean the outside temp sensor...

Doesn't the towing eyelet go into one side? I know the Mk I Fabia had slightly different grilles for this reason.

Whatever - it's meant to be there! :D
