NEW induction kit.........HELP! lol

Featured Replies

Right folks,

Just aquired a K&N TYphoon kit (i think thats wot its called lol) but i'm having MAJOR problems getting a cold air feed to it.

The problem is that the entrance to the kit is a bit on the large size, so i've had to source a pipe. Apart from doing a "Jas" and shifting the battery to the boot, i'm stumped on what to do.

The kit sounds good plus the car seems to rev freely right up through the range without the cold air feed. My mate and i fitted the cold air feed with the bonnet open and it sounds immense plus the air flow being drawn is very strong.

I'll get some pics of the kit and pipe posted tomorrow. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

typoon or apollo?

is it the sealed one?

Its a sealed one with a HUGE intake on it lol

Dont think i'm goin to use it as its virtually impossible to get the cold air feed to sit properly.......

you need to replace the black pipe going from the turbo intake pipe to the induction kit with a shorter one

have a look at the photos jase posted in the "bmc cda" thread and youll see

how does it sound by the way?

Its a far wider intake pipe than the BMC. Think i'm just gonna go for the BMC kit, seems easier to fit lol

It sounds very "meaty" under load. You can hear it drawing air, the turbo sounds louder and the response has improved. SWMBO thinks the car sounds broken! lol

got any pics?@
