Has anyone one made a front mount set up? i was thinking that the fabias inlet points towards the O/S but some inlets point to the N/S, is there any reason i couldnt fit a N/S inle, use the pipe from the turbo to the SMIC and rout it to the bumper and FMIC then out of the other side run it to the N/S inlet, i beleive the forgr FMIC run all on the O/S? sorry if this makes no sense!

It's definitely possible to run the pipes in "other" directions. Though if you look at a nude inlet manifold, it's not exactly symetrical... And you have the connections to the EGR and anti-shudder valve to sort out too.

Have a look on Fred's TDI Page. TDIClub.com. VW TDI Enthusiast Community forums.

It's entirely possible to make up your own.

Once you have sourced a "proper" IC core (with the tubes in star-shaped cross-section for maximum cooling) and all the proper ally pipes/silicon hoses, don't think you would be saving a lot.

Cheap IC cores abound - but the quick test is you look through and if you see light, means it is only straight pipes inside. I know this because I had Forge out here in Bahrain for a visit and we visited a tuning garage out here. Peter picked up an IC core they were fitting and demonstrated this to me.

Better to keep the SMIC and add water injection IMHO.
