Extended warranty

Featured Replies

Well the car is now coming up for 3yrs old and I went to see my Dealer yesterday about extending the warranty. I had been quoted £295 from Warranty Direct and I was pleasantly surprised that the dealer had a offer on Ext Warranty - £360 which included full RAC cover (Skoda Assist).

I bought it there and then. Waiting for Policy to come through now - hope I am not dissapointed with any small print?

Did you not read the small print before you bought the warranty?

No disrespect but I think we've been here before regarding warranties, I just hope you don't find out that these things are money makers not set up for the customers benefit the hard way.

I'm sorry to have to inform you sir that because you drove the car in a pair of Blue Nike trainers this caused the clutch to burn out so I'm afraid we won't be covering it, that'll be £987.87p + vat;)

My eyesight was not that good - but having read the blurb available it covered everything that was covered on the initial 3yr warranty so i don't see a problem really.

Anyway I hope not - and for £360 inc full RAC it's well worth the peace of mind to have the Dealer warranty rather than WD or similar?
