Re-flashing AMD one click???

Featured Replies

I have my old AMD one click Remap from my 04 Vrs fabia and want to install it in my 56 plate VRS,

AMD want £400 + vat for this:eek:

I already have the map and the box but the ECU code is different, im told i will have to have it wiped and re loaded??

Can this be done elsewhere for less money ??

Try John at DNA Tuning - Home

maps cant be simply 'transferred' from one ECU to another, some can, some cant. I do re-use base maps between some ECU's when mapping but unless the hardware and software codes match we are often left with an engine whicj wont start and having to re-write the ECU on the bench.

What AmD/DNA/others will do is send the unit back to the company that actually manufacturers the units, for the unit to be blanked, ready for the standard map of the new car to be written to it. You can then send it back to the tuner, for the performance map to be written and then finally sent back to you :)

Alternatively, you could recode and swap the ecu's between vehicles...
