Genuine Nokia Battery Supplier

Featured Replies

Does anyone work for or know of /recommend a place I can get hold of a new, Genuine Nokia BP-6M battery?

The only shop I saw selling one was selling one with terminal marks and a worn holagram as "new" so I gave it a miss.

Online it looks like Nokia for £24 + postage, or a large number of other places I've never used so can't really rate.

Thanks

I need a replacement too, type BL-4C

Google brings up a number of suppliers of batteries described as "Genuine Nokia Original" but I suspect many are knockoffs.

Any recommendations, please?  TIA

Quick look on Amazon shows loads at a lot less than the price you found:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Original-Nokia-BL-4C-Replacement-Extended/dp/B0048DJ5JM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1389567818&sr=8-1&keywords=Bl-4c

Not sure if the above example is genuine but it shows a nokia battery and is sold through Amazon so good customer protection. Various other options and links on the page.

For things like this I tend to avoid ebay (unless it is a seller I have used previously or has a very good reputation) and stick to places where there is good customer protection and a decent returns policy. Never had an issue returning items via Amazon.

Full filled by Amazon just means the stock is in an Amazon Warehouse, not that it's new, in great condition, or genuine.

Personally I only buy if it's 100% Amazon due to friends and family being stung

I know that and have been stung by it as well, but the benefit of going via amazaon, whether it is supplied by them or a seller through them, is that you get the Amazon protection and in my experience their customer service is very good. Returns and refunds never an issue, so if there is a problem with the battery and it it is not as described, or description was vague, then return it.

Similar remarks ref e bay. I had one ( same type battery ) some time ago and it was not very good. Suspect it had come from a scrap phone. I'd keep an eye open in the likes of Lydl or Aldi .i got a battery from Aldi some time ago ,ans sometimes they bring things like that back after a period of time .

Thanks for the replies.

I have in the past bought batteries from two sources on Amazon.  The batteries were described as genuine and appeared genuine, but lasted only a few weeks beyond the 12 month guarantee.  The genuine Nokia battery that came with my mobile lasted several years.

Google brings up a couple of (apparently) specialist battery suppliers.  I may try one of those.

Cheers
