The rear drivers side door on my Fabia vRS (56 reg) wont open via either inner or outer handle unless I give the outer handle a firm thud with the palm of my hand.....any clues??

The door opens and closes fine then until I lock the car and unlock again the rear door refuses to open until again I hit it!:thumbdwn:

Take it back to the dealers as its under warranty.

sounds like something in the mechanisms sticking slightly,

it'd no doubt wear off if you "work" the handle a few times.

when it does go to the dealers get them to check for a water tight seal if they remove the inner door card. (No point ending up with leaky doors and another trip to the dealers)

I would hazzard a guess that the bowden cable on the handle is too tight and not letting the catch reset fully.
