Fitting a PIO-DEHP77MP to my new vRS

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I should have my vRS very soon as it's on it's way over and want to upgrade the hu to the PIO-DEHP77MP. How easy is it to fit, and can someone like me who is not very practical do it? I don't want to damage my new car :o Or would I be better off getting this done at a car audio place. Will I need any aditional adapters or leads apart from the dash adapter thingy like the Maystar one at caraudiodirect.

Also is this a good upgrade for now if i'm not planning to upgrade the speakers or add an amp yet or will it just sound like it's overloading the stock speakers. I'm not into really loud music just a nice volume level will do but I do like quality.

Anyone know any good car audio stores that will fit amp and upgraded front speakers for a reasonable labour charge and not rip me off or break my car or is it a case of DIY or nothing? I would be looking in the London area (North West) or the West Country, ie from Cheltenham to Mid Wales area.

Price is about right.

This has got to be the most popular headunit for the Fbai yet I think, I think im right in saying your the 5th Briskodian to fit one in his Fabia vRS. You will need an Auto leads facia adapter and id advise an aerial booster (about

Ross, I am going to get one of those head units in the future, but what do you reckon of the standard speakers? I was kinda hoping these would be ok, as people have suggested in the past that they were, and I also have a little sealed 10" active sub to put in the boot, so I am sorted for bass, how is the rest of the sound of those speakers?

Yeah thats the one mate spot on.

Although not the greatest in the world with the headunit fitted the speakers do sound ok, they do pop a bit if up loud but thats only to be expected, but generally sounds much better.
