Hi all, I want to clean my throttle body and I'd also like to realign the throttle body afterwards but I don't have VAG-COM. I've been searching around on how to get started with VAG-COM but couldn't find anything definitive. Am I right in thinking that an E-bay lead and Shareware download is only good to read and erase codes (I can currently do this anyway with my hand-held scanner)? If so, what do I need to get hold of to be able to do the full works and do things like realign the throttle body?

Did you unplug the TB if you didn't you don't need to re-align it. Also iirc it will re-do it's self but just takes time to learn.

You could buy a cheap lead (ebay) and the licence key ($99) but this the old version. The new all singing one is $249 plus import tax
