Problem - Assistance required

Featured Replies

Hi all, having major problem with my 54 plate Octavia. Recently glow plug warning light came on, had the car run through diagnostics, mass air flow meter and crankshaft sensor were flagged for replacement. Car would run ok up to 4500-5000 rpm then turbo would drop and would struggle to maintain any speed, also would take an age to start.

This week both air flow meter and sensor were replaced, Problem remained. Full service done, problem still there. A further visit to diagnostics computer to reset ecu. Problem remained. Now engine will only rev up to 3400rpm before turbo waves bye bye.

At my wits end, vehicle is used as a taxi and every day off is costing me money and sanity (stuck in house with wife and mother-in-law).

Any pointers in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

Sticky turbo vanes?

Are there any fault codes relating to charge pressure?
