when i say "working" i mean you can see it....but its total pants...tried to configure a 1.8TSi DSG with 3 spoke steering wheel and and flappy paddles and it wont let me. i have no other options but it still says 3 spoke wheel is not a valid option... why do they bother paying the web designers as they are clearly incabable of doing a decent job !!!!:mad::mad:

Which site are you trying?

I assume the UK site in which case the car configuator only refers to 'stock' cars, i.e the current Octavia model not the facelift.

I understood the facelift isn't available until November, although launched at Paris, so I guess the configurator in respect of the facelift will not be revised until then.

Having said all that I cannot see how you are able to even start to configure a 1.8 Tsi DSG because on the screen I'm looking at the DSG option on that engine isn't available - which is what I would expect as the configurator is referring to the 'current' model. So maybe you are looking somewhere different?

Forget my comments - wrong thread (not Octavia), sorry!

Blimey that new wooden backdrop on the UK Skoda website reminds me of the funky wallpaper my folks used to have on the living room wall back in the 70's.

By the way the configurator's still not working when you select 'build your own' - I get the following error message:

Missing or bad attribute in query.

works fine for me

Just tried the configurator, and boy, does it suck.

It allows you to add options to the Elegance that are standard, and then tries to charge you for them.

e.g. You can only add an option for rear and rear side sunscreens, when the rear one is standard. Also, you can add an option for heated front and rear seats, when the front ones are standard. In both cases, it charges you for something you've already paid for.

Someone should really give the Skoda website folks a kick up the a*se.

Bagpuss.
