Option Codes Decoder

Sorry in-advance if this has already been found/posted

Found a website that decodes the codes found inside the front cover of your service book

VW Group Option Codes Decoder

With VW anyway, if you go into the parts department and ask them to print out a "CAR DATA SHEET" this will provide you with all a listing of what your car is "made" of. Just give them your VIN or maybe even your reg number.

Mod's note: Skoda dealers are able to do the same.

Except the first link others are outdated.

Skoda option codes might be found here: Skoda and VW Audi Seat codes

Thank you - that is a useful link. I recommend downloading the VW/Skoda/SEAT option codes and the VAS 1551 codes (although unfortunately the latter are in German and Russian) since links like this disappear with time. I have also tidied up this thread by removing references to links which no longer work.

I do hope my new Skoda does not come with the "Anti-magnetic Armored Floor Panel" Option :)
